– About Sea Sand Entertainment –

Sea Sand Entertainment tells heroic stories and introduces viewers into engaging worlds, we produce narratives that span film, television, and more.

In 2012, Marvin Glover created Sea Sand Entertainment with a clear vision: to build a new kind of media company, dedicated to telling thought provoking stories, creating large-scale cinematic experiences, and building long-term partnerships with the world’s best storytellers.  Sea Sand produces and helps finance several films and television series each year, working with all levels of talent from award winning stars to newbies looking to develop and hone their craft. We hope to collaborate with entertainment franchises, and develop innovative original projects.

During our formative years, we delivered the kind of event-level movies we love, beginning with the award-winning Our Father, as well as fan-favorites such as Last Call at Murray’s, Wedlocked, Downward Hiro, Sienna’s Choice, and My Name is Lamar.

Next year, we will begin production on the first season of the highly anticipated show The Agency, the first of several original series from Sea Sand Television.  Sea Sand Entertainment will also release several new films in partnership with partner production companies and major motion picture studios.  Over the next two-years, Sea Sand Entertainment will launch franchise film projects in partnership with other studios and the next installment to The Agency series.

MARVIN GLOVER
Founder / Chief Executive Officer

– EXECUTIVE IN CHARGE –

Marvin Glover is an American film producer, director, screenwriter, and music composer. He is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Sea Sand Entertainment, which he formed in 2012 to produce narratives that span film, television, and more. As founder and chief creative executive, he sets and executes the strategic vision for the company: to create large-scale cinematic experiences, and building long-term partnerships with the world’s best storytellers. Under Marvin’s leadership, Sea Sand Entertainment has produced award-winning films including Downward Hiro, Last Call At Murray’s, Wedlocked, My Name Is Lamar, and Sienna’s Choice. He currently oversees Sea Sand’s feature film slate, including Nothing Can Stop Us and Lafayette in association with the Company’s GCP/Starving Dog label.

Raised primarily in the Pacific Northwest, Marvin now resides in Los Angeles. Many of his artistic works center around themes of hope and empowerment. He has branched out into mainstream territory with recent dramatic, Sci-Fi and comedy films.

Glover was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Thelma Todd-Glover, a elementary school teacher, and Leon Glover, a Air Force Sergeant, and construction worker. He attended Washington State University, University of Washington and the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Glover was also a member of the Screenwriting U program. The program was designed to take students directly into the Hollywood system as proficient writers.

Unlike the other standard programs for screenwriting, film production, or the Peter Stark Motion Picture Producing and critical studies programs, The Screenwriting program was designed to teach a select group of students how to be authors of their visions. Glover puts a lot of time into his writing. However, his ability to direct was correlated to an early beginning in music videos, which began with producing and directing music videos to his own catalog of music and has expanded to other artist and bands. He also has a number of domestic and international projects to his credit.
